Speech and/or communication
Activities of daily living
Environment modification
Where do services take place?
DD Waiver therapy services are generally provided in the home or anywhere the individual normally goes in the course of their day. Services are administered from our three regional offices. If you would like more information feel free to call or send us an e-mail message:
Las Cruces - Edward Flores (575) 522-9506
Roswell – Kellie McConnell (575) 626-2615
Clovis – Darrell Davis (575) 763-9517
What is the process for receiving services?
Therapy services can be accessed by individuals receiving DD Waiver services at any time after they receive their initial allocation. If an individual is new to DD Waiver, needed therapy services can be started right away. Therapy can also be started whenever a new challenge arises. Get started by contacting the individual’s Independent Case Manager and talking to them about the Freedom of Choice process. They will help you with getting started from there. If you have questions or want to know more about how skilled therapy services could help, fell free to call the MECA Therapies Regional office nearest you.
Additional Information Regarding the DD Waiver
State wide, the DD Waiver is administered by the New Mexico Department of Health, Developmentally Disabled Supports Division. A handbook titled “Fitting the Pieces Together” is available from DDSD which explains how the Waiver program works and how to begin the eligibility application process.
