1-on-1 training & attention

Our SLP team is made up of both clinical fellows and active SLPs, allowing you to work intimately and learn intensively about your field on a team of passionate like-minded professionals.

Early Childhood SLP Services

Our early childhood services are provided through the New Mexico Department of Health’s Family Infant Toddler (FIT) program, giving you the ability to connect with families and children from diverse backgrounds at your new SLP position. Our Early Childhood Services are free. As a complimentary service to families that are in need, our early childhood support is provided in-home and throughout the community, giving you the freedom to possibly travel for work.

Children’s Outpatient SLP Services

Our Children’s outpatient services differ from Early Childhood care, with therapists meeting their patients at one of our clinic locations in Roswell, Hobbs, and Las Cruces. As an on-staff clinical fellow or SLP at one of our MECA Therapies Children’s Outpatient Clinics, you will provide expert care in conjunction with a variety of private and Medicaid-based insurance plans, enabling children to take productive steps in their development as they grow and evolve.

REQUIREMENTS

Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders

Licensure from the NM Board of Speech Language Pathology, Audiology, and Hearing Aid Dispensing Practices

A MECA SLP Clinical Fellow must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed in this description are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability require.   • Knowledge and experience in the field of Communication Disorders
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Windows
  • Proficient organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Excellent interpersonal and teaming skills
  • Ability to train clients, family members, and professionals
  • Exercise a high level of confidentiality (see below)
